Water cooler talk about politics

This morning, the talk around the water cooler, is Barak Obama's securing of the Democratic nomination for President.

I saw John McCain's speech earlier in the evening, and was disappointed that a candidate at that level could give such a flawed speech. The staging, the content, and the delivery of his speech was very sub-par.

Hillary Clinton's speech was also disappointing, delivered at the very moment when she could have graciously conceded to Obama, to embark on the campaign against McCain with a united front. She didn't do that, and I'm not so sure she's capable of doing that. Her speech was combative to the point that it sounded as though she were a child playing marbles, and was saying, "I'm gonna take all my marbles and go home." This does not sound like someone planning to unify the party.

Barak Obama's speech on the other hand was moving and delivered in such a way I can only remember a few times in my life I've seen such a thing. His message WAS one of unity, but not only as a party, but as a country.
